Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch: Great for reading

I am a voracious reader and I always wanted Nook simple touch and luckily I got this device for $20 at Radio-shack last month, which I think is a great deal. It is a pretty well made device.

Box Content - eReader, microUSB Cable, Start Guide, Rechargeable Battery (installed) Features

PROS:

•Easy access to book format change, you can change the letter size as well as the letter format of the book without getting out of the book.
•  Over 3 million books, get them in seconds w/ built-in Wi-Fi
•  SD card slot, the NOOK doesn't include the SD card however you can add one and expand the 2 GB memory of the device.
•  Includes a Dictionary which you can use on a word with just highlighting it, a WiFi  is not needed.
•  Longest battery life – read for over 2 months based on a half hour of daily reading

CONS:

•  No  Audio Features
•  PDF does´t include cover art so on your library you will only see a ¨no image¨ icon
•  Black and white screen so you don’t have color in your device.
•  Can’t delete books on the device if you want to delete a book you have to do it from your computer.

Performance
Best–Text, ultra-crisp, reads just like paper – even in bright sun, with fast page turns and refreshes. The streamlined interface also shines, and the battery life is rated for a whopping two months.

Features
Features focused on reading. Easiest-to-Use Touchscreen - Simply touch and NOOK takes care of the rest. Open your book, make the type bigger, look up words, organize your library, lend a book or shop for new titles - it's all so easy.
The Nook Simple Touch includes support for virtually every e-book format out there, along with a micro-SD card slot for those who need additional storage. Very limited web browser no Facebook or anything useful, the browser or 3G
Supported file formats: ePub, PDF and GIF file formats

Ease of use
The touchscreen display makes entering text into forms a breeze and transforms e-book reading into a more natural experience. The Nook Simple Touch's screen may be slightly larger than other e-readers, it feels better in your hand, being unobtrusive and organic-feeling.

Sometimes it is difficult to get it to respond to the touch. Need to experiment to find the right pressure to use to get the function you want

Value
The Nook Simple Touch may cost a bit, but it sports much better controls. In addition, its design and feature set should appeal more to people who want to use their e-reader to simply read e-books.

I totally recommend this product to a person who loves to read books.
